This hand-carved, notched mokume gane wedding band adds an extra natural element to our traditional mokume rings-- creating an effect even more natural and branch-like.

Band and Width: Our standard mokume style of a slightly curved profile 2.5mm, or 4.5mm wide band with notched motifs and soft edges.

Metal: Shown in 14K white gold mokume gane, made of multiple layers of 14K white gold and silver forged together to create the rustic woodgrain striations of this handmade mokume gane band. Shown with a 14K white gold liner.

Liner options: Recycled Argentium silver (hypoallergenic/nickel free), recycled 14K white gold, or recycled 14k rose gold.

Stones: Add some tiny diamonds to the notches to create an unexpectedly elegant twist. Diamonds shown are 1.5mm round H-J color and VSI clarity.

Sourcing note: All of our diamonds are ethically sourced: naturally mined from Canada, vintage, or lab-grown. Our other gemstones are also vintage, lab-grown, or are sourced from sustainable suppliers. We strive to work with small-scale mines and local stone cutters to form long-lasting relationships that ensure the best quality and highest degree of sourcing transparency in the industry. Because of their one-of-a-kind nature, our gemstones may vary slightly from the images you see here. We use 100% ethical, recycled, metals refined in the USA. Any of our designs can also be made in hypoallergenic, nickel-free metals.

More about the ancient process of Mokume Gane: Mokume Gane is a Japanese form of bonding 25 layers of precious metal. It translates to "wood-grain metal" and was used to adorn the handles of Damascus steel and Samurai swords. Our mokume is forged, twisted and patterned by hand here in our Vermont jewelry studio.
